- Attend the 2021 Marine Energy Collegiate Competition Virtual Pitches
Join WPTO and NREL for the 2021 MECC virtual pitches on April 26-27. Over the two-day event, the 16 teams will present their business pitches and detailed technology designs for their chosen markets, followed by the Awards Ceremony on April 29. From systems leveraging marine energy to power offshore aquaculture to wave-powered desalination systems to provide coastal communities with potable water, this year’s MECC submissions proved to impress! The U.S. Department of Energy’s Water Power Technologies Office (WPTO) has announced the launch of the 2022 Marine Energy Collegiate Competition (MECC): Powering the Blue Economy™. Are you ready to dive in? The third iteration of the MECC is now open for applications through May 7, 2021.
